‘Passio’, a Latin word for suffering and being an inspiration in the 15th century as Spanish christians called this genus, ‘Passion Flower’.
The concept brings forth beauty in a place of despair, joy in a place of sorrow, the Lord has made all things beautiful in its time, so the Passion of Christ has its beauty as well.
